  • State changed from “open” to “resolved”

  Received support from HotDocs indicating it is a rare occurrence. Explained how to correct it by uninstalling and deleting specific files. Specifically:

  * uninstall HotDocs Player 2009
  * go to C:\Program Files\HotDocs 6\Player and make sure the files PDFCore8.dll and PDFCore8.zli have been cleared out -- if not, recycle them.
  * if there is a subdirectory called Resource, move it to the recycle bin as well.
  * go to the parent directory (HotDocs 6), and do the same thing -- make sure PDFCore8.dll, PDFCore8.zli and the Resource directory do not appear there either.
  * in the registry, delete the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Zeon\
  * if the user has any of the following directories on their computer, move them to the recycle bin also:
        o C:\ProgramData\zeon
        o C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Zeon
  * download and install the latest build of HotDocs Player 2009 HF2
  * after installation, go into C:\Program Files\HotDocs 6\Player and make sure you see the file called PDFCore8.zli. It should have been created during installation. (Don't delete it this time!)
